Frequently Asked Questions

Good Questions, Plain Answers

What will this cost me compared to a new roof?

Roughly half, for most homes — often less once you count what a re-roof adds in disposal, permits and surprise decking repairs. You also keep the disruption to two or three quiet days instead of a week of tear-off.

How many years am I actually buying?

Ten warranted years at the standard film build, fifteen at the heavy build. After that the roof can be recoated — think of it as moving your roof onto a maintenance cycle instead of a demolition cycle.

What colors can I choose?

Stocked shades include charcoal, slate gray, weathered wood, driftwood, terracotta and black, with custom tints for HOA matching. Going darker or richer than your faded original is the most common pick.

Will my insurance company care?

Possibly in your favor. The coating is UL 2218 Class 4 rated — the top hail impact class — and some insurers in hail-prone states offer premium credits for Class 4 roof surfaces. We supply the documentation; ask your agent.

Can we still walk on the roof — Christmas lights, gutter cleaning?

Yes. The cured coating is tougher than the aged shingles under it, and normal homeowner traffic is completely fine. Just wait through the short cure period after application.

Do I have to find my own installer?

No — tell us your zip code and we will connect you with a trained local applicator, or ship a homeowner kit with the full guide if your roof is low-slope and walkable and you like a weekend project.
